About Us

Subair Kunju foundation is a charitable trust in memory of late Mr. M Subair Kunju (1931-2000) formed by his family members in the year 2001. Mr. Subair Kunju born in Azhicode, near Trivandrum, Kerala was a full time dedicated social worker helping others especially the under privileged in their problems. He is often called as the historian of his native place and worked for the overall development of his native place throughout his life. His social commitment and humanitarian work irrespective of caste, religion, politics and social status are ever remembered.

Since the formation of the foundation on the first death anniversary day of late Mr. M. Subair Kunju on 17th June 2001, the trust is functioning as a charitable organization with a view to continuing the humanitarian activities of late Mr. Subair Kunju.  The Trivandrum-based trust has been conducting various activities like free medical camps, health related awareness classes, publishing and distributing books/leaflets on various diseases, helping the students from the poorest people of his native place.

Our current leading activity, the Riyadh Initiative against Substance Abuse (RISA) campaign started in KSA in the year 2012 with a dedicated 17 member team and it has been recognized by the National Committee for Narcotics Control, KSA since March 2013.

VISION

vision is to function as ideal charitable trust delivering dedicated community health care services through  various public health activities, and  by establishing health care  institutions with due importance to preventive health care and  chronic disease screening  facility.

MISSION

To provide education and volunteer training for community-based public health awareness activities, formation of various volunteer forums for specific causes such as substance abuse, prevention and control of  communicable and non-communicable diseases, environmental health, energy conservation, maternal and child health and to establish preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative health care institutions.
