CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Subair Kunju Foundation is committed to work for the welfare of people irrespective of any social, religious, socio-economic or cultural background. Our humble vision is to provide community service as far as possible to the reach of common man as practised by my beloved father Late. Mr. M Subair Kunju.

The main concentration of my father was on helping those who were suffering from illnesses. He used to visit sick, hospitalized people at least once in a week. So we began our initial charitable activities in the healthcare sector. We conducted a number of free medical camps, awareness sessions, distribution of leaflets on various health problems etc. targeting the local community in Trivandrum.

We are happy to open a Subair Kunju Memorial building at Ampanad, near Nedumangad municipal Town in December 2014 for the proposed Subair Kunju Memorial Institute for Lifestyle and Environmental Health Care. The main objective of the institute  is  to  provide primary health care  to the local community at an affordable cost. We also have a vision to strengthen our charitable activities in health care in all possible means through the institute.

Since 2003, we extended our charitable activities to the expatriate community in the Kingdom of saudi Arabia. We have conducted many free medical camps in the labor camps and other settings, public health awareness classes and seminars etc. Currently we focus mainly on community awareness on lifestyle diseases and its prevention. since 2012 , we have been conducting a global campaign against substance abuse, titled Riyadh Initiative against Substance Abuse-RISA. The campaign is gradually getting a global attention.

We are thankful to all health professionals, volunteers, community and political leaders, social workers, media persons extending their uninterrupted support and cooperation to make all our humble charitable efforts a great success.
