PRESS RELEASE on release of NOVEL H1N1 INFLUENZA
SUBIR KUNJU FOUNDATION LAUNCHED THE FIRST BOOK ON ‘SWINE FLU’
The Subair Kunju Foundation, a Trivandrum-based charitable organization (Azhicode, Kerala, South India) launched the first book on ‘SWINE FLU” in India and in Saudi Arabia, in a function held on 16.12.2009 at Classic Auditorium, Batha, Riyadh, KSA.
Dr. S. Abdul Azeez, the author of the book and the Chairman and Managing trustee of Subair Kunju Foundation, is a public health specialist, working in the Ministry of Health, Riyadh. Prior to this, the author had published three other books viz. Malampani, Rogavum Prathirodhavum, and Dengue fever and Chikungunya, two editions of which are already published by the State Institute of Languages, Govt.of Kerala.
Dr. Masilamani, Laser Scientist at King Saud University, Riyadh released the book by giving the first copy to Mr. Fahad Al Anasi on behalf of Mr. Shaji, Managing Director, Safa-Macca clinic, Riyadh who assisted in the publication.
Mr. K.U. Iqbal (president Riyadh Media Forum), Dr. Raju Varghese (National Guard Hospital, Riyadh),Mr. Haneefa Puthuparambil (Circulation Manager, Al Jaseera International Magazine), Dr. Jose Chacko (Shifa Al-Jazira Clinic, Riyadh), Mr. Shihab Kottukadu (Pravasi Rehabilitation Centre, Riyadh), Dr. Mohammed Faizy (Chest Physician,Safa Makkah Polyclinic, Riyadh), Dr. Abdul Khader (Al Smari Clinic, Riyadh) were among those delivered the felicitation speech.
Mr.Basheer Pangode of Jeevan TV, Riyadh presided over the function. S. Shashi Kumar Pillai of Trivandrum expatriates association welcomed the audience and Mohd. Nazar of Shifa Malayalee Samajam proposed the vote of thanks.
The program was blessed by the presence of representatives of all important organizations in Riyadh apart from many families and friends. A copy of the book was given to all those who attended the function.
